Change device language

Changing the language on your mobile device can help you navigate more comfortably in your preferred language. This article provides instructions to help you change the system language on your device.

Note-Tip.png  Please keep in mind that changing the system language will modify not only your device’s menus and settings but also any supported apps to reflect the selected language.


Instructions

Android

1.  Locate and tap the Settings app on your Android device.

2.  Click on System or General Management. This may vary depending on your Android version or device model.

3.  Tap on Languages. You will see the list of currently set languages.

4.  If your preferred language isn't already listed, click on Add a language. Use the search bar to find and select your desired language.

5.  A pop-up will ask if you want to set the selected language as the default language. Click on Set it as a default system language.

Note-Tip.png  If you choose Keep current, your settings will remain unchanged, and your current language will stay as is.

Your phone's system menus, supported apps, and settings will now display in the selected language.

 

iPhone (iOS)

1.  Tap on the Settings app from your home screen.

2.  Scroll down and tap General.

3.  Tap Language & Region.

4.  Click Add language to open the list of available languages.

5.  Use the search bar or scroll to find and tap your desired language

6.  A pop-up will ask if you want to use this language as your primary. Confirm your choice.

7.  Your iPhone will restart briefly to apply the new language settings. 

Once your device restarts, all system menus and supported apps will display in the selected language.
